Hello and welcome. If you’ve found your way here, it likely means you’re up against something in life. This could feel like a pit in your stomach, unwanted thoughts in your mind, or a gray cloud that won’t go away. It could feel like something else entirely. And while pain is part of the rich tapestry of life which should also include joy, love, peace, and excitement – sometimes the suffering is too much to handle alone. The fact that you’re here means something profound: you’ve made a choice. A choice to respond to your hurt and to move toward healing. That is a brave and beautiful thing —and I’m honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
I believe in the healing power of insight, feeling your emotions, and relationships. Curiosity about our own beliefs and behaviors gives us insight into who we are and what we value, and ultimately, can be transformative. Learning about what our mind and body are telling us is empowering and can remove some of the fear associated with our thoughts and feelings. Getting in touch with your body and learning to fully feel your emotions can be scary but are vital parts of living a full life.
I believe relationships are the foundation of a rich, meaningful life. Strong, authentic relationships can be curative, nourishing, and transformative. I hope to not only cultivate a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients but to empower them to strengthen current relationships and have the confidence and capacity to form new, meaningful connections.
My work is informed by Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Attachment Theory, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. My work is also guided by my passion for social justice, racial and gender equality, and fighting for personal and collective dignity and empowerment. I believe in collaboration and am interested in working with you to determine the best path forward, relying on your strengths, wisdom, and input to direct our journey. Although reducing suffering and relieving symptoms are of utmost importance, I want our work to also be about discovering your values, ethics, and what you want to live for.
